Colleagues from Taylor Wimpey Midlands have raised £3,434 for charity after taking part in the homebuilder’s annual fundraising event.

Now in its 12th year, the Taylor Wimpey Challenge has so far raised over £1.6 million for the Youth Adventure Trust (YAT), a charity which inspires vulnerable young people through outdoor adventure, as well as other regional charities across the country.

On Saturday 16th May 2026, over 300 Taylor Wimpey employees, across 49 teams completed a hike along the north Devon coastline, followed by a series of competitive creative and strategic tasks.

Money raised by teams from Taylor Wimpey Midlands will be donated to the YAT and Our Jay Charity, a charity that aims to raise awareness of the importance of having 24/7 publicly accessible automated external defibrillators.

Daniel Rushe, Land Manager at Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “The Taylor Wimpey Challenge is always a fantastic event. Not only does it bring together employees from across the business, but more importantly, it raises a huge amount of money for extremely worthy charities. This year has been no different and I’m extremely proud of our teams for their effort in raising much needed donations for the YAT and Our Jay.”

Mark Davey, CEO at the Youth Adventure Trust, said: “It has been another fantastic year for the Taylor Wimpey Challenge, with all of the participants embracing the activities with camaraderie and a great sense of humour. As always, we’re very appreciative of their efforts in support of our mission to help young people fulfil their potential and lead positive lives. Funding from this year’s event will make a huge difference to us and we look forward to continuing our partnership into 2027.”
