MILTON KEYNES HOUSEBUILDER’S DONATION INSPIRES BUDDING YOUNG GARDENERS

Milton Keynes developer Barratt and David Wilson Homes has donated a range of gardening equipment and seeds to Bow Brickhill C of E Primary School to help the children enjoy the school’s recently revamped garden.

Green fingered pupils at Bow Brickhill C of E Primary School, which is close to the housebuilder’s Woburn Downs development on Watling Street, have received a number of trowels and forks, along with vegetable seeds and compost, to help them learn more about gardening.
Elinor Wiemer, School Business Support at Bow Brickhill C of E Primary School, said: “The children are very grateful for the donation of equipment which will support them in their use of our newly refurbished garden area. The additional trowels and forks mean that many more children can get involved in the garden and hopefully nurture and produce some lovely vegetables from the seeds supplied, which the whole school can taste”.
Alison Raine, Sales Director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Northampton, said: “As a leading developer, it’s really important that we support the community in the areas in which we build.

“We are happy to help Bow Brickhill C of E Primary School get the most out of its new garden space. We hope that the pupils enjoy planting the seeds, learning about gardening, and that they might even be able to try some of the vegetables that they have planted.”

Woburn Downs is set in an idyllic location with over 35% of the site allocated to green open space, which provides picturesque countryside walks along the canal and river on the doorstep.

The development is located within easy reach of the M1, A5 and the A421. Potential homebuyers will be just six miles from the centre of Milton Keynes for access to an array of shops, restaurants and leisure activities for all of the family, including cinema or theatre trips and indoor skiing at Xscape.
