It’s safe to say Sheldon Cooper is having a main-character moment, as he is officially the most iconic sitcom character ever – Bazinga!
The findings are the result of a new study by the team at Betway who set out to discover the most legendary sitcom characters of all time, with Sheldon Cooper coming out on top with a score of 69.4/90.
The lovable physicist, played by Jim Parsons, scored highly for a number of categories throughout the study, which compared the most notable characters from a number of popular sitcoms, ranking them on various factors.
According to the study, Sheldon Cooper is the most Googled sitcom character, amassing 203,000 monthly searches worldwide.
Additionally, the iconic character is also the most viral character on TikTok with 5.4B views, exceeding the legendary Michael Scott!
The study also discovered that Sheldon takes the crown for having the most screen time, appearing in every episode of The Big Bang Theory over 12 years with a total of 279 overall – talk about commitment to a character.
Fellow sitcom icon Michael Scott from The Office US claims second place overall in the study, with a score of 65.5/90.
