A water fountain kit that takes just two minute to set up, has won the prestigious Best New Product Award 2022 Garden Ornaments Category at GLEE, the UK’s biggest garden and leisure trade show. Hydria is an innovative new product designed and manufactured by an independent start-up business based in the West Country, who wanted to change the way that garden fountains are created.

Over 300 entries were whittled down to a short list of three in each category before a Dragon’s Den style live pitch to the judges sorted out the winners and runners up.

The judges, comprising a panel of industry experts, who select the winner based on innovation, design, and saleability were wowed by how in only a few simple steps the Hydria Fountain Kit transformed an everyday plant pot into a beautiful fountain.

By taking away the complications of groundwork, plumbing, cables, and solar Hydria’s unique design breathes new life into the water feature market by creating an easy to use, customisable solution that can be used indoors or outdoors, day or night.

The clever patented unit, powered by cutting edge rechargeable battery technology, will run for *up to two months on a single charge, and can be installed in any suitable pot, and decorated to suit the owners’ taste and style.

Hydria can be used almost anywhere including small balconies or even indoor spaces for those who wish to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of a water feature yet lack the outdoor space usually required.

Simon Jackson who came up with the idea for the fountain after struggling with the complexities of trying to create a water feature for his own garden, was delighted to receive the award. “We always thought we had something pretty special with the concept of Hydria, and we’ve been thrilled with the response since launching the product into the UK last month. This award is the icing on the cake and confirms that Hydria has the potential to be disruptive in the water feature world!”
