Harron Homes supports Midlands RDC charity fundraiser

Harron Homes has strengthened its commitment to community investment across Derbyshire by sponsoring the Midlands Residential Development Conference (RDC) in September, an event which raised £1,565 for Derby-based charity the Padley Group.

The Midlands RDC brings together professionals from across the region’s housing and property sector, with its annual charity raffle supporting housing-related causes. This year’s proceeds will help the Padley Group continue its vital work providing food, shelter, and long-term support for families and individuals experiencing poverty and homelessness.
Representatives from the RDC visited Padley’s community hub on Parcel Terrace in Derby to see the charity’s work first-hand. The experience was described as both “humbling and heartwarming,” offering a glimpse into how donations directly transform lives across the city.
Natalie Griffiths, Sales and Marketing Director for Harron Homes North Midlands, said: “We’re proud to have supported the Midlands RDC and its fundraising efforts for such a meaningful cause. Padley Group’s work is life-changing for so many people, and it’s rewarding to see the housebuilding community coming together to make a difference.
Supporting local initiatives like this is an important part of how Harron operates. We’re building homes, but we’re also supporting our communities, and we’re proud to be contributing to that in Derbyshire.”
Harron’s support for the RDC follows several recent community partnerships across the county. The housebuilder is a long-term supporter of the Old Goat’s Grumble charity festival near its Shipley Lakeside development, which this year raised £45,000 for young person’s cancer charity Lauren’s Legacy, and has also sponsored youth drama group Killamarsh Dreams near its latest Derbyshire development, Forge Green, in Killamarsh.
Located on Green Lane, Forge Green brings a new collection of two- to five-bedroom homes to the edge of the Derbyshire countryside, with energy-efficient features, air source heat pumps, and landscaped green spaces designed to reflect Harron’s commitment to sustainable, community-centred living.
