OXFORDSHIRE HOMEBUILDER SEES SITE MANAGERS RECOGNISED AS BEST IN THE COUNTRY

L-R – Award-winning Senior Site Managers, Adam Breakspear, Paul Moore and Scott Harris

Adam Breakspear (33) Paul Moore (41) and Scott Harris (39) have each won Pride in the Job Quality Awards from the National House Building Council (NHBC), and these prestigious awards are known as the “Oscars of the housebuilding industry”.

In total, David Wilson Homes Developments’ site managers have won 98 Pride in the Job Quality Awards, which is more than any other housebuilder. This is the 18th year in a row that site managers from David Wilson Homes developments have won more of these awards than any other builder, underlining the long-term commitment David Wilson Homes has to building high quality properties.

Having managed Kingfisher Meadows for just over three years, Senior Site Manager Adam Breakspear, has won his sixth Pride in the Job Quality Award for his work at David Wilson Homes over the course of 15 years, having previously also won a Seal of Excellence award.

When discussing his Pride in the Job Quality Award, Adam said: “It feels great to have won the award, it has been a challenging year and with my team at Kingfisher Meadows it has been a very satisfying experience to know the quality of our work has been recognised.”

Paul Moore has won his 11th Pride in the Job Quality Award in what has been a nine-year career with the housebuilder. Paul, Senior Site Manager at The Pavilions in Bodicote, has also previously won four Seal of Excellence awards, a West Regional Award and is striving for another Seal of Excellence in the upcoming year.

Paul said: “To get recognition for everyone this year at The Pavilions has been really rewarding especially having recently moved to this region. I’m absolutely honoured and grateful to my team.”

“Not a day goes by that I don’t want to go to work. I appreciate the team at The Pavilions and I can truly say it has been a collective effort from everyone at the development.”

Having been with David Wilson Homes for just two years, Senior Site Manager Scott Harris has won his fifth Pride in the Job award at Hemins Place in Bicester. Although Scott has worked at the site for just over a year, the relationship he has built with the team reflects one of family.

When discussing his award for the work at Hemins Place, Scott said: “We have a great team at Hemins Place and I’m grateful for the hard work and consistency from everyone at the development.

“I couldn’t ask for better support, from the team, Christian (Assistant Site Manager) and my family who have been incredibly helpful and supportive for this entire journey.”

The Pride in the Job Awards showcase the best site managers in the country who can demonstrate exceptional standards in building new communities, delivering the highest quality homes for their customers. Each site manager is judged on a range of key criteria including health and safety, their technical knowledge, customer service and attention to detail.

Every site manager who is registered with the NHBC is automatically entered into the awards, with just 450 winners being selected from over 11,000 entrants.

The awards also help to build quality standards across both developments and teams, with winning site managers invariably having an assistant site manager working with them. They in turn learn the high standards that are needed to win, increasing quality throughout the industry.

Dominic Harman, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes Mercia, said: “We want to make our customers happy by building high quality homes for them. These awards recognise only the best new homes and well-run developments and we are very proud of our record having won more of these awards than any other housebuilder for 18 years in a row.

“Every customer who buys a home built by a site manager who has won a Pride in the Job Quality award can have confidence that their home is of the highest possible quality.”

These awards closely follow David Wilson Homes being awarded five stars by its customers for satisfaction in the annual Home Builders Federation (HBF) new homes survey. To be rated five star means that more than 90% of its customers would recommend one of its homes to a friend, with the developer being the only major national housebuilder to be rated five star for 13 years in a row.
