Based in Osney, Oxford, the charity received the donation as part of the developer’s Community Fund scheme which sees a different charity each month receive a £1,000 donation.

Established in 1946 by merging three existing mental health organisations, Mind has become a respected national charity, committed to improving the nation’s mental health.

The Oxfordshire branch, which is an independently registered charity, maintains a mission to reach out to anyone who needs support through the provision of high-quality mental health services, as well as campaigning for positive change in the representation of mental health.

Dan Knowles at Oxfordshire Mind, said: “The Community Fund is a great scheme which aims to support the local community. We are incredibly grateful that David Wilson Homes has chosen to support Oxfordshire Mind.”

Here at Oxfordshire Mind, we promote good mental health, through the provision of high quality services and campaigning for positive change. We won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health issue gets both support and respect.

The donation will support Oxfordshire Mind’s mental health services, which include talking therapies, supported housing, and wellbeing services across the County.

Each year Oxfordshire Mind supports over 23,000 people to access the right mental health and wellbeing support.

Campbell Gregg, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes Southern, said: “Oxfordshire Mind is an incredible charity and its workers do an incredibly selfless job in providing support for those that need help with their mental health.

“We’re delighted to have the opportunity to contribute towards vital services for those in need through our Community Fund scheme.”
