Mary and John Clark, both in their seventies, moved from Stockport after finding the ideal home that suited their needs. Their new four bedroom detached house has given them the modern design they were looking for, while Formby has proven to be the ideal change of location.

Mary and John, a retired nurse and retired security personnel respectively, decided to buy a new build property at the Pinewood Park development as it gave them the modern design that they were after. The couple instantly fell in love with their new home.
Mary commented: “We just loved it. It immediately felt like a warm, bright home. The kitchen is lovely and it’s so spacious! It’s exactly what we were after.”

Their two-storey home offers everything Mary and John need to enjoy their retirement, including the up-to-date insulation they were looking for. Mary remarked that “The house really does retain the heat. We wanted a new build for the modern design and the insulation, but it’s been even better than expected”.

With energy prices recently rising by up to 50% and climate change an ever-looming threat, home insulation is more important than ever. The Clarks’ decision to move into a new build now will surely pay off in the future.

The couple are enjoying getting to know the surrounding area, with everything they need only a short distance away. They look forward to seeing the development of the project and getting to know their new neighbours.
After funding the move through the sale of their previous home, Mary and John settled in quickly with Barratt Homes.

John added: “We were very happy with how the move went. The Sales Adviser went above and beyond and really took care of us on moving day. We would definitely recommend Barratt Homes to anyone looking to move.”
Pinewood Park currently has a collection of two and three bedroom homes available with prices starting from £254,995.
