REGIONAL HEAD OF SALES AT SO RESI WINS COVETED NATIONAL PROPERTY AWARD

A Regional Head of Sales at SO Resi, the shared ownership brand of Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing, has won a coveted First Time Buyer Readers’ award during this year’s ceremony, which took place at the Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square on Friday 3rdSeptember 2021. Julie Shail was crowned the winner in the ‘Judges Unsung Star’ category thanks to her exceptional commitment to supporting local first time buyers in Hertfordshire, including at SO Resi Ware and SO Resi Forster Oaks in Stevenage.

The award aims to recognise the outstanding contribution made by one individual to the first time buyer market. Julie’s entry was judged on her innovative approach to the market, her irrepressible enthusiasm for shared ownership and her longstanding commitment to supporting aspirational first time buyers.

Julie Shail has worked with Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing (and its pre-merger predecessor Metropolitan) for 28 years and is at the forefront of developing and promoting shared ownership initiatives, as well as being a powerful ambassador for SO Resi, reaching out to first time buyers through shows, events, webinars and social media.

Now in their 12thyear, the First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards celebrate the companies and individuals that have gone above and beyond to help first time buyers get a foot onto the property ladder. Leading members of the property industry attended the event, as television duo Jonnie Irwin (the face of A Place in the Sun and Escape to the Country) and Nicki Chapman (best known for Escape to the Country) reunited to present the awards, which recognise the best of the best in the property industry.
