At the heart of the selection is Gaja Barbaresco 2020 (£225), a benchmark expression from the historic Piedmont estate. The wine reveals red cherry, wild strawberry and dried rose petal with hints of spice and earth. Structured and precise on the palate, it features fine tannins and a long, savoury finish. Wilson selected it for its pedigree and longevity, describing it as a truly significant bottle worthy of a special occasion.
