Luxury Care Home Grand Opening in Derby

Heatherton House, a brand-new 66 bed care home in Derby opened its doors on Friday the 31st of March with the Mayor of Derby cutting the ribbon. The event saw guests explore the new facility from Danforth Care Homes, including a tour of the restaurant, cinema, coffee bar and sweet shops.

Located just 3 miles from Derby city centre, the 5-star purpose-built facility will be home to 66 residents, who can enjoy amenities such as a sensory garden, on-site beauty and hair salon, cinema, library and coffee bar to name just a few.

The experienced Heatherton House team employ the highest standards of care, offering residential, dementia and respite to residents in a welcoming space.

Home Manager Amanda Jelbert says “We are delighted to open this home officially here in Derby. We’ve designed the home to be a safe and comfortable space for residents to live their lives to the full, enjoying everyday activities with tailored care and support. Heatherton House will be a true asset to the Derby community.”

Available in one inclusive fee, Heatherton House care home provides each resident with a private room with state-of-the-art facilities, including wet rooms, smart TVs and mini fridges. The home also offers restaurant quality food cooked by the team’s on-site chefs, as well as the opportunity for residents’ families to come and enjoy daily tailor-made activities.

Heatherton House Care Home is part of the Danforth Care Home Group, with 14 more homes set to open across the country in the next 15 months. These purpose-built luxury care homes will be created with the enjoyment and comfort of the residents.
