Wedding video app Vidicrew are aiming to be the most popular DIY way to make a wedding video
Wedding video app Vidicrew is on a mission to shake-up the wedding video experience by editing footage guests capture themselves into a short film, perfect to share on social media and to save as a memento of the most special of special occasions.
All users need to do is download the app for free, use it to record content, then upload the raw footage to an online private gallery. Multiple users can upload their footage to the same gallery, meaning the wedding guests can all contribute to the same finished video.
The Vidicrew professional editing team then transforms the footage into a short film which can be shared via social media platforms and amongst family and friends, providing a more personal video which is also safe during Covid restrictions, as no external videographer is needed to attend the wedding. Trying the service is free, unlimited collection is £45 and film packages start from £345.
The company began in 2017 by founders Paul Hulligan and Alex Wilding. Both had backgrounds in film and entrepreneurship and decided to form a business off the back of making popular wedding videos for friends and family with their mobile phones. It’s currently the only service in the UK that offers both app content collection and professional video editing.

”One of the things my friends and family loved the most about the wedding videos I made for them was how personal the finished product felt because it was compiled from footage myself and other guests had filmed. It made a special day feel even more special because the end result told the wedding story from every angle by people who knew and loved the bride and groom. It was obvious that this could be a unique service.”

”Our main aim has always been to provide a cost effective and easy to use service with a fantastic end product which we feel we’ve done. It’s been a difficult year for brides and grooms who may have had to cancel or delay a wedding due to the Coronavirus outbreak. We can reassure them from both a financial and safety point of view that they can still have a memento of their special day as there is no need for an external videographer and the final video won’t break the bank”
