Sales teams at Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ developments in Warwickshire have pulled on their festive jumpers to celebrate Christmas Jumper Day (Thursday 8th December).

In doing their bit for a good cause, the teams at the leading housebuilders’ Aston Grange and Heritage Grange communities have donned their wonderful woollies for the annual campaign.

Led by Save the Children, the day involves millions of people up and down the country coming together at their workplace, school, or with friends to make the world better with a sweater.

As part of their participation in Christmas Jumper Day, Barratt and David Wilson Homes have made a combined £400 donation to the charity.

Adrian Evans, Managing Director at Barratt Homes West Midlands, said: “We’re very proud of our team at Aston Grange and the charity work they are doing. It’s a joyous time of year, but it’s also a time to think of others and we’re pleased to have the opportunity to take part in Christmas Jumper Day.”

Dominic Harman, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes Mercia, said: “As a leading housebuilder, we pride ourselves on ensuring we look after our local communities and help support charities within it. The work of Save the Children is excellent and we’re delighted to have supported the campaign.”

Fundraising on Christmas Jumper Day this year is even more important; every time £2 is donated between 1st December and 1st March, the government will give £2 to Save the Children too.

With the extra funds, the charity has plans to help mums and babies in Kenya.
