Fabergé, the world’s most iconic artist jeweller, and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products are delighted to reveal the one-of-a-kind Fabergé x Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Egg Objet, in partnership with the legendary director, writer and producer Tim Burton. This exciting collaboration follows the recent launch of the Fabergé x Beetlejuice Beetlejuice fine jewellery collection, created in partnership with Tim Burton and Colleen Atwood and inspired by Warner Bros. Pictures’ box office hit Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, in theatres and available to own on Digital now.

Fabergé has an unrivalled ability to commemorate significant cultural milestones with its mesmerising objets d’art. Telling tales of intrigue and mystique, these objets, in particular the iconic Fabergé eggs, have long surprised and delighted audiences around the world. This unique Fabergé x Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Egg Objet – set to be completed and unveiled in 2025 – encapsulates the eccentric spirit of the Fabergé and Beetlejuice universes in an innovative and magical way. A one-off work of art, this creation will interest collectors worldwide, presenting an incredibly rare opportunity to own a piece of ‘Burtonesque’ history.

One of Hollywood’s most imaginative and legendary filmmakers, known for his iconic gothic visual aesthetic, Tim Burton has collaborated closely with Fabergé’s Creative Director, Josina von dem Bussche-Kessell, and Head of Design, Liisa Tallgren, to create an egg objet with surreal artistic qualities, which pays homage to Burton’s work as both an artist and a visionary. World-renowned Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood – the mastermind behind the costumes featured in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice – also played a pivotal role in devising the concept for the Fabergé x Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Egg Objet.

In September 2024, Burton was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a testament to his unique and unparalleled creativity, which has captivated audiences worldwide for nearly 40 years. Long before becoming a director, writer and producer, Burton expressed himself through drawing, painting and photography, all of which have become integral parts of his creative process. His extensive library of artworks has been documented in numerous books, which delve into the mind of a man who is ever observant of the extraordinary world around him.

“This amazing collaboration with Fabergé would not have been complete, without a spectacular, unique egg objet,” Burton has stated. “Having had such creative freedom, I wanted to create a piece with Fabergé which was humorous and fun, whilst also honouring the company’s legendary quality and specialism in movement and animation. A pièce de resistance, I loved dreaming up this wonderful work of art, which also houses a hidden ‘celebration ring’ – I’d love to see someone make a special proposal with it!”

This is a rare, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a collector to purchase one of Burton’s artistic creations, while at the same time owning a precious Fabergé objet. Distinct similarities can be drawn between Peter Carl Fabergé’s legacy and Burton himself, both epitomising an unrivalled freedom of creativity without the limitations of conformity. This fearless approach to imagination, together with a pioneering ingenuity, has meant that Burton and Fabergé have both continued to appeal to a wide range of audiences spanning generations. In this exclusive partnership, the creative mind of Burton is fused with Fabergé’s craftsmanship to provide an artistic interpretation of their unique worlds.

“Having been a long-time admirer of Tim Burton’s work and creative output, this co-creation has been a dream-come-true. In many ways, Peter Carl Fabergé was the original collaborator in that he allowed his Workmasters to ‘brand‘ their creations with their own hallmarks and frequently teamed up with best-in-class talent. This way of merging creative brilliance at the highest level inspires us to this day to join forces with like-minded creators, always finding new and unexpected synergies which come to life in unique and collectible creations. We could not have had more fun working with Tim and Colleen. This truly marks an exceptional milestone in our modern-day history.” Josina von dem Bussche-Kessell, Fabergé Creative Director.

The creation of the Fabergé x Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Egg Objet is now well underway, with Fabergé’s team working closely with a dedicated Workmaster based in south-east England, who will be overseeing the construction of this masterpiece. The egg objet will take many months of development and craft and is set to feature a new ‘Fabergé first’ opening mechanism, whereby both the top and bottom of the egg open in unison, pushing the boundaries of innovation and craftsmanship to new realms.

The Fabergé x Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Egg Objet is unashamedly theatrical and playful in nature and references many iconic Beetlejuice themes and characters.

The monochromatic colour scheme of the egg echoes the iconic visuals in the Beetlejuice (1988) and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024) films, from Betelgeuse’s striped suit to the corridor of the Afterlife, immediately transporting the viewer to Burton’s fantastical world, whilst eerie Headworms and Sandworms coil around the base.

The egg ‘shell’ is composed of multiple ‘leaves’ which appear stitched together, a reference to the new character Delores in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. These ‘leaves’ unfurl in unison, in a gull-wing fashion – a first for Fabergé – to reveal the crescendo of the piece, the Fabergé surprise, in the form of a spectacular, gem-set wedding cake which rotates as it comes into view. The cake pays homage to the wedding scene in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, where Lydia Deetz is set to reluctantly marry Betelguese. In true Fabergé spirit, a further surprise is cleverly hidden within the cake – a customisable celebration ring, featuring a precious 2.2 carat responsibly mined Gemfields Mozambican ruby.

The Fabergé x Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Egg Objet, in partnership with Tim Burton, will be completed and revealed in 2025.
