UK-Based Global Logistics Leader Continues Expansion with New Acquisition

Fast growing logistics leader Caribou has today completed the acquisition of Swindon-based Six Ten Logistics; a delivery and distribution company that’s earned a reputation for its professional crew, white glove delivery service, and on-site assembly capacity.

Six Ten Logistics is a notable name in the UK and pan-European pallet distribution industry and, while operating across a diverse range of sectors, is particularly well regarded within the retail field. With an in depth understanding of the demands, needs, and preferences of retail businesses – and the challenges faced by retailers during the pandemic – the acquisition will provide Caribou with greater insight into this niche, enabling them to develop and implement strategies that will provide their customers with a more efficient, effective, and personalised logistics experience.

Caribou Managing Director Daryl Dylan said, “We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming the Six Ten Logistics team into the rapidly growing Caribou family. This was a very natural move for us, with Six Ten Logistics not only sharing our own vision for the future of UK and international logistics, but also demonstrating a forward-thinking approach and communicating a desire to drive industry-wide change that we are only too happy to support.”

The acquisition of Six Ten Logistics marks the latest in a long line of expansion activities that Caribou has undertaken within the past few months. Last year, Caribou not only announced the acquisition of Lincoln County Couriers, but also confirmed plans to open a new delivery and logistics depot in Colchester which is anticipated to bring around 20 new jobs to the region. During 2021, Caribou has already announced the acquisition of C&D Transport solutions to expand its global delivery network, and TM Couriers which is helping the firm better develop its expertise within the long-established blue-chip market in which TM Couriers strongly dominates.

Bringing onboard the niche retail expertise of the Six Ten Logistics team is anticipated to elevate Caribou into a more prominent position within the rapidly growing retail logistics sector. A strong retail supply chain is emerging as key to supporting retailers through the critical period of recovery following the pandemic, building organisational resilience and prioritising end-to-end visibility for customers.

With courier services becoming increasingly instrumental in business continuity throughout the pandemic, Caribou is dedicated to growing its network to ensure it is continuing to offer timely and affordable services for its customers during this time.
