‘Thugs and yobbos need locking up for good’ says Lee Anderson as he reveals he intervened to stop robbery

Lee Anderson has revealed how he intervened when a local shopkeeper was assaulted in broad daylight and has questioned why police aren’t doing more to keep the country’s streets safe.

Speaking on GB News he said:

“These hooligans, these thugs, these thieves stealing coasts in broad daylight: It begs the question, why aren’t these people at work, doing an honest day’s work, paying their taxes and contributing towards society?

“I’ll tell you why that is: because they’ve got no intentions of integrating and contributing to this great country of ours.

“These thugs, these yobbos, they need locking up, they need putting away for good.

“People going about their business on a daily basis: Yes, they might buy an expensive coat, so what? If they’ve been to work and earn their money and bought a coat that’s worth £1000, they have the right to go about their daily business without this scum attacking them in broad daylight and taking their coats off them.

“And the police need to step up on this. I’m quite furious about this. I had a case in my constituency recently, when a shopkeeper was attacked. I actually witnessed the attack after the shopkeeper had goods stolen from his shop.

“I intervened to help the shopkeeper avoid this vicious assault and the police took over a month to arrest the culprit, even though the culprit had apologised and admitted the crime on social media – the police took a month.

“And now I’ve just learned just this week that the police haven’t even passed it on to the CPS. This was a man, a shopkeeper who had been assaulted and been robbed in broad daylight and the police haven’t even got the guts or the backbone to pass it on to the CPS. It is absolutely disgusting.”
