A new study has found that out of 25 of the highest streamed kid’s songs on Spotify, parents have crowned The Lion King classic ‘I Just Can’t Wait To Be King’ as their guilty pleasure to sing at the top of their voices.

Closely followed by Moana’s ‘How Far Will I Go’ and Frozen’s ‘Let It Go,’ mums and dads across the UK picked the children’s songs that they like the most, with 64% having them in their own personal playlists and 92% even singing the songs when their kids aren’t around.

The survey comes after two thirds (68%) of the country have opted for a staycation this year rather than risking going abroad*. With road trips on the rise this summer, sunshade manufactures, Car Shades, asked 2,000 parents exactly how they intend to have a smooth family journey, and ultimately which classic children songs parents secretly don’t mind listening to on repeat.

Further results show that 83% of parents play children’s songs to allow for a stress-free journey, 45% admitted their children enjoy the same song on repeat, and 67% of parents admit to knowing all the words and beats to their children’s favourite song.
