The Galliard Apsley Partnership has opened its first dedicated sales office in Birmingham.
The show apartment and sales office are located at Timber Yard, the Partnership’s new apartment development in the Southside district. The development is a stone’s throw from the city centre, in the Gay Village and Chinese Quarter, and directly opposite the Smithfield site. It is named in tribute to the area, which was known for its timber and scrap metal yards and plywood and aluminium works.
Timber Yard comprises 379 spacious apartments, including studio, one and two bedrooms. More than 80 per cent of the new homes have already been sold off plan. A range of properties are on offer, from studios to two-bed duplexes, with prices from £207,500. Optional parking is available at £20,000 per space (Ts & Cs apply).
Amenities at Timber Yard include a 24/7 concierge, a private residents’ gym, lounge and screening room. The development is set around a communal gated courtyard, with many homes boasting balconies or terraces.
The newly opened show suite is dressed in Galliard Homes’ signature contemporary style. The high specification two-bedroom duplex apartment showcases the development’s interiors and includes a designer kitchen in high gloss grey and electric integrated Smeg appliances. Bathrooms are fully fitted, featuring mirrored inset timber lined alcoves with integrated storage cupboards, and finished with large format white marbled porcelain fully tiled walls and floors. There is oak plank Amtico flooring in the hall, living room, bedrooms and kitchen area. The main bedroom is fitted with a full height built-in wardrobe. The show apartment is 1,040 sq ft and is priced £368,750.
An original limited-edition print by Birmingham artist and print maker James Ferguson will also be on show, as part of a collaboration between the Galliard Apsley Partnership and local gallery Phet, based in the Jubilee Centre on Pershore Street.
Don O’Sullivan, chief executive officer at Galliard Homes, said: “In London we deliver more than 2,000 homes each year and have a reputation for our luxe interiors and inclusive fit-out. In Birmingham we currently have five sites and a pipeline of more than 2,500 homes. The opening of a dedicated sales and show suite in the city is a major milestone for the business and we look forward to welcoming potential buyers to view our product for the first time.”
Gerard Nock, chairman at Apsley House Capital, said: “It feels great to be able to showcase the finished architecture and specification of the partnership’s product in Birmingham.”
Designed by award-winning Claridge Architects, Timber Yard is bounded by Hurst Street, Skinner Lane, Pershore Street and Claybrook Street. Its two blocks rise to six and 12 storeys. The first buyers are expected to take up occupation from Q3/Q4 2021 onwards.
The Timber Yard sales and show suite is accessed off Skinner Lane and is open Monday-Friday, 10am – 5pm and is Covid-compliant. Socially distanced viewings are strictly by appointment.
Anyone unable to visit site in person can take a remote 360 guided tour of the interior. Buyers are sent a digital link which will connect their screen to a sales agent. The virtual reality tours, which can be viewed on a laptop, tablet or mobile, can be viewed by up to 50 people in a session. The tours, produced by tech company Reevo 360, were launched by Galliard Homes during lockdown and are available across the vast majority of their developments in the capital.
