St Basils Homelessness Charity is thrilled to announce the return of the Woof Run to Brueton Park in Solihull. This family-friendly and fur-tastic event is set to take place on Sunday, 3rd March, promising a day of canine fun and community spirit, all while supporting a crucial cause.

About St Basils Woof Run:
The St Basils Woof Run is not your ordinary doggy event; it’s a thrilling 2.5K obstacle course designed for dogs of all shapes and sizes. Taking place against the scenic backdrop of Brueton Park Nature Reserve and Meadows, this year’s run will feature challenges such as the Canine Clamber, Zigger-Zagger, and the Paw-Paw. It’s a muddy adventure, so grab your wellies and prepare for a paw-some experience.

Supporting Vulnerable Young People:
More than just a fun day out for dogs and their owners, the Woof Run serves a greater purpose. All funds raised from sponsored dogs will be invested back into the Solihull community, specifically directed towards aiding over 4000 young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in the West Midlands every year. In the face of the current cost-of-living crisis, St Basils aims to make a significant difference in the lives of those in need.

Barrie Hodge, Head of Fundraising for St Basils, expressed excitement about the event’s return to Solihull, stating, “We are very excited to be back in Solihull this Spring for our wonderful doggy event in the beautiful surroundings of Brueton Park. Unfortunately, with the cost-of-living crisis and ever rising rent costs the West Midlands has seen an increase in homelessness since last year, and Solihull is among the areas suffering. All the money raised will make a huge difference to the services we run in the local area and help keep young vulnerable people safe and secure. Homelessness should not be part of anyone’s future”
