Since the start of the pandemic have you noticed you’ve had more headaches? Or found that your vision has become blurred and your eyes dry?
Well, it’s likely you have because over a third of people recently reported a change in their eyesight.
The eye experts at Feel Good Contacts have investigated what modern life is doing to our eyes and how increased screen time is impacting the way in which we see the world.
The research found that the direction our eyes are heading are squinty, dry and red. Here is how we can expect them to look. You can find the full research here.

There are ways to prevent these symptoms. Experts at Feel Good Contacts have provided their top tips for protecting your eyes:
Taking regular breaks – 20.20.20 is the most effective way to remember to take enough breaks to give your eyes a rest. Every 20 minutes look away from your screen for 20 seconds and focus your eyes on something 20 metres away.

Keep your eyes moist – When you look at a screen for too long, you forget to blink and this makes our eyes dry. Looking away from your screen and blinking more should help and if you’re really struggling, invest in some eye drops!
Reduce screen brightness – Harsh artificial light is seriously bad for your eyes, most devices have settings to help soften the light on your screen so explore what works best for you.
