This month, Barratt David Wilson Homes has sponsored a hole at Royal British Legion Institute’s Golf Day ‘Tommy Tee Off 2021’, which took place last week at the Tudor Park Marriott Hotel and Country Club in Maidstone, Kent. The housebuilder, who has a longstanding partnership with the charity, is currently building several new homes developments across the county.

Four representatives from Barratt David Wilson Kent played the 18-hole championship course, contributing over £500 to RBLI’s fundraising targets through tickets and its sponsorship. The golf day concluded with a very successful prize giving and charitable auction to raise further funds for the charity. The total amount raised came to almost £10,000 and will allow RBLI to continue to support Armed Forces personnel, people with disabilities and people who are unemployed through a variety of services and activities.

Natalie Perry, Sales and Marketing Director for Barratt David Wilson Kent, comments: “We are so pleased to continue to support RBLI and the fantastic work they do for our veterans in the UK. We are very proud to have partaken in RBLI’s latest fundraising event, building on the long list of campaigns we have supported this year including installing RBLI’s iconic Tommy Club figures our show home gardens in across Kent.

“We again extend our thanks to our partners at RBLI for hosting their Golf Day and Charity Evening and are pleased the fundraising is going to a very worthwhile cause.”

Natalie Sweeden, Corporate Partnership Manager from RBLI, adds: “The pandemic is still very much affecting our military veterans and their families, so our fundraising efforts continue to be incredibly important to support our beneficiaries. We would like to say thank you to Barratt David Wilson Kent for its ongoing generosity and look forward to hosting future events together.”

In 2019, Barratt David Wilson Homes announced a multi-layered partnership with RBLI, which began with a £750,000 donation to RBLI’s Centenary Village. This year, the housebuilder has also seen its Regional Director Mark Bailey and his Wife participating in the charity’s annual Cycle Ride donating £10,000 to the charity bringing the total fundraising to date approaching £1million.
