PM Law Group raises £2,500 at ‘Sleep Out’ event to help homeless people in Sheffield
A team from Sheffield law firm PM Law Group has raised £2,500 for local homeless charity Roundabout Sheffield at their annual Sleep Out event. The event involved sleeping overnight in the Meadowhall Shopping Centre car park, a short walk from the group’s Head Office on Shepcote Lane. The Sleep Out event is held annually by the charity Roundabout Sheffield which works with over 350 homeless people every day.
The group raised £2,500 with fundraising still open for several more weeks. This is the latest in a series of events in support of Roundabout, which had already seen the group raise over £15,000 in just over a year.
Group Managing Director Harvey Harding comments:
“Roundabout is a fantastic charity and as always, we’ve enjoyed supporting them in this event – they help homeless people in so many ways. I’ve been involved in several fundraising events for them but I will always have a fondness for the Sleep Out event.
It’ll never fully replicate the challenges of being homeless, but it did give members of our team a brief insight into just how difficult life can be. As a team, we managed to get through the cold night and enjoyed each other’s company and found ways to make it enjoyable. Others are not so fortunate though, so we’re grateful for the opportunity to support Roundabout in the great work they do. “
