On Friday 3rd June, residents came together on the open space at the development to enjoy food, drink and a range of activities.

One of the activities included a bouncy castle for the children, which Barratt Homes paid for the equipment hire. The developer also provided a luxury hamper which was used as one of the prizes in the raffle.

Gemma Mason, Head of Events at the Hampton Water Residents Association, said: “It was a lovely afternoon bringing families and the community together. The raffle donations by local companies and individuals were amazing, as were the home-baked goodies by the residents, it really made the day special. I couldn’t have put the event on without the volunteers, they helped before, during and after and a big thank you goes to them!”

Also at the event were cocktails, an ice-cream van and home baked goodies for all to enjoy.

Daniel Evans, Managing Director at Barratt Homes Cambridgeshire, said: “We wanted to help the residents at Hampton Water have the best Jubilee celebration and it was our pleasure to fund the bouncy castle and provide a prize for the raffle.

“It is important to us as a leading housebuilder to support the communities in which we build, and we hope that all who attended the event had a great time.”

Barratt Homes has continued its celebration of the Platinum Jubilee by becoming a long-term partner of the Royal Horticultural Society, whose patron is the Queen.

The development provides residents with a perfect combination of town and country living. It is surrounded by countryside with certain homes having uninterrupted views of the lake.

Major towns and cities in the area including Peterborough and Cambridge are easily accessible. It is a great area for commuters, young couples and families alike. The nearby Serpentine Green shopping centre has a variety of chain and independent shops.
