Paying tribute to the Queen – at home
As up to 1 million people pay their respects to the late Queen in person many more are making their own tributes and paying their respects at home.
Photo processing company ParrotPrint.com, which specialises in large canvas prints, has revealed that three quarters of all orders this week have been images of the Queen.
Customers have been submitting their favourite snaps of Her Majesty and having them blown up to create shrines at home.
The prints can then be hung on a wall with many customers choosing to place flowers in front of them as a tribute to Queen Elizabeth.
A spokesman for ParrotPrint.com said: “We’ve seen a huge spike in orders as customers request canvas prints of the late Queen.
“Many people have a favourite photo of Her Majesty and are keen to have it hanging in a prominent position in their home.
“The orders started coming in as soon as her death was announced and we have seen the demand increase throughout the week.
“It really has been very moving to see how much love and respect there is out there for Queen Elizabeth.
“Millions of people are keen to mark her passing and pay their own respects however they can.”
