OPTIMEF presents 2021 bag collection

With their collection of handbags OPTIMEF continue to explore the idea of quiet luxury by transforming beautiful stories into design objects.

Inspired by architecture and geometric shapes, all their pieces seek functionality without unnecessary decorations. Clear in function and shape, the bags come in a variety of dynamic color combinations.

Each handbag is a unique concept, a design piece in its own, that can complement a variety of outfits from casual wear to elegant attire. All OPTIMEF’s bags are hand-crafted in Romania by skilled artisans using finest quality leather and custom made brass accessories made in Italy.

A spokesperson tells us “By keeping production in-house, we are involved in every step of the manufacturing process. Using innovative leather crafting techniques we seek to create timeless design pieces.

“Optimef was originally launched in 1979 as the very first Romanian watch. 40 years after its original release, we are reinventing the Optimef brand with designs that inspire a mélange of clean minimalism and unexpected quirkiness. Besides the attention to technical and design details, we are adding a contemporary touch to the 70s and 80s aesthetics. Working with simple geometrical elements and surprising colour combinations, we want our objects to inspire a quiet luxury in a perfect balance of beauty and function.”
