In-home care franchise Visiting Angels has ended another year celebrating huge network wide successes, recently coming together to raise a glass to the huge achievements from both the head office and the franchise network themselves in 2023. This year, the theme of their annual awards ceremony and conference was ‘One Small Step’, highlighting Visiting Angels’ ongoing mission to not only improve the quality of care provision across the UK, but their primary goal of making care a rewarding and life-long career. Now, recruiting over 100 carers per month and after welcoming their 21st franchisee this year alone, the brand is primed for further success in 2024 and beyond.

150 entrepreneurs and carers alike from across Visiting Angels’ network attended the brand’s third annual conference, held at The Library of Birmingham at the beginning of December. With ‘one small step’ the running theme for the day, the conference focused on how, even six years into being established in the UK, this is very much the beginning for the reformative brand. And thanks to keynote speakers including former mountaineer Bonita Norris, transformational coach Andrea Morrison and CEO of The BFA Pip Wilkins, attendees left the inspirational conference feeling ready to tackle 2024 and beyond.

Visiting Angels UK CEO, Dan Archer, believes it is opportunities like this that highlight how, while the brand is taking small steps, it is taking giant leaps for the wider UK care industry.

“This year’s conference and awards was an opportunity to celebrate just how far we’ve come in a year, said Dan. “With high-quality carer recruitment this year’s major talking-point, it was brilliant to have a moment to celebrate the fact that we’re a brand which has proven it’s absolutely possible despite the overarching issues within the industry. Being carer-centric is our primary goal not only within Visiting Angels, but across the UK – to become the leading example of what it could mean to people around the world to have a rewarding and celebrated career in care. And thanks to our franchisees, who deserve every bit of the credit they receive for trailblazing in our industry, we are showing that our concept works.

“It was vital that we highlight what we do at Visiting Angels is jut ‘one small step’. Our job as a leading brand won’t be done until the whole of the UK follows suit. But for now, an evening of celebrating our incredible network was well-deserved.”

Later, Visiting Angels’ illustrious black-tie event saw the network congratulate some high-flyers within a nationwide team that contributes so much to achieving the brand’s mission and goals. Recipients of the awards were:

Newcomer of the Year 2023: Visiting Angels Edinburgh East

Brand Champion of the Year 2023: Visiting Angels North Shropshire

Carer Centric Team of the Year 2023: Visiting Angels North Surrey

Visiting Angels People’s Choice 2023: Visiting Angels Central Surrey

Franchisee of the Year: Visiting Angels West London

As the in-home care franchise continues to pursue becoming the UK’s leading care brand, Visiting Angels’ goals for moving forward have been affirmed by its recognition as being the second highest-climbing franchise in this year’s prestigious Elite Franchise Top 100 league table. In just a year, the care provider has risen to 51st position, a staggering 23 places higher than the previous year. To add to its accolades, Visiting Angels has also recently been shortlisted in two categories in the Great British Workplace Wellbeing Awards. And with their 60th franchisee, Arun Philips, recently joining at to continue pushing this upwards trajectory, 2024 is set to be another incredibly successful year.
