ONE FOR THE BOOKS: NORTHAMPTONSHIRE HOUSEBUILDER MAKES GENEROUS DONATION TO WELLINGBOROUGH PRIMARY SCHOOL

Northamptonshire developer Barratt and David Wilson Homes has donated a range of books to Croyland Primary School for World Book Day (Thursday 2nd March 2023).

Pupils at Croyland Primary School, which is close to the housebuilder’s Wendel View development in Wellingborough, have received a number of children’s reading books from the housebuilder to support them with independent reading, including ‘Spinderella’ by Julia Donaldson, and ‘The Day I Fell Into a Fairytale by Ben Miller.

World Book Day is celebrated to inspire reading among children. Its mission is to promote reading for pleasure and education, offering every child and young person the opportunity to have a book of their own.

The global event aims to promote reading and sharing of stories among children of all ages.

Sam Mitchell, reading lead at Croyland Primary School, said: “We were delighted to receive the kind donation of books from Barratt and David Wilson Homes. The books have already been shared between classes so that as many pupils as possible have the opportunity to read and enjoy them.

“Everyone here at Croyland Primary School would like to offer Barratt and David Wilson Homes our most sincere thank you.”
