Ahead of International Women’s Day on Tuesday 8th March, housebuilder Rippon Homes is encouraging more women to consider a career in the construction industry.

With a number of female employees already in a range of roles across the company, the developer is reminding women from all skill sets of the different roles available and is encouraging them to put their experience to the industry.

Sarah Jepson joined Rippon Homes towards the end of 2021 as an Assistant Site Manager at the housebuilder’s Eleanor Gardens development. Sarah started as a labourer and has worked her way up through various positions to become one of Rippon Homes’ first female Assistant Site Managers.

Sarah said: “I have really enjoyed my experience working for Rippon Homes so far. The team is really friendly, helpful and keen to help you progress.

“The houses are beautiful, and I really like to see the finished product, along with how happy the customers are when they move into their new home.”

Julie Johnson, who joined Rippon Homes in May 2020, recently became the developer’s new Director of Sales and Marketing.

Julie said: “I chose to work for Rippon Homes as it’s a regional company with good values. It is committed to growth, and I felt I had the opportunity to add value and make an impact.

“I now oversee the sales department and I am responsible for achieving the business’ sales targets. I hope to enjoy the rest of my career at Rippon Homes, and being an integral part of its growth.”

Tia Bingham recently started a new role with Rippon Homes as a Sales Executive at the developer’s flagship development Eleanor Gardens in Navenby.

Tia said: “Rippon Homes is the first house developer I have worked for, and I couldn’t recommend the company enough to people. I have learned so much in time here, and I look forward to growing my knowledge even further.

“I feel that everyone’s opinion is taken into account here, and that makes you feel really valued. We have a really good team spirit in our sales team and even beyond into the head office.”

Rippon Homes currently has homes available at The Burrows at The Edge in Worksop, Eleanor Gardens in Navenby, Marquis Gardens in Old Dalby, Rose Gardens in Lea, and Fox Hollow in Market Rasen. The developer will also be launching several new developments later in the year.
