Hair and beauty booking app Booksy is springing up in Birmingham this week for stop two of its city-by-city makeover takeover.

The free to use app which lets customers book, pay for, and manage their next hair or beauty appointment without the hassle of back-and-forth phone calls is on a whirlwind tour of the UK to show customers what it can do, landing in Birmingham between March 30th and April 3rd.

Hot off the heels of its successful Liverpool takeover last month, Booksy is headed to Birmingham to put a spring in the step of customers across the city with a series of initiatives including a pop-up stand in the city centre where the team will be handing out goodies and meeting residents, plus a huge advertising campaign. Team Booksy is also hosting a large B2B event for Booksy merchants with Ambassador Alan Beak and a separate press and influencer event at a local barbershop.

Vishal Khakhar, Booksy Head of Marketing, said: “We are on a mission to spread the word about Booksy this year and what better way to do it than to hit the streets of the UK’s cities.

“Liverpool was a huge success, and the team is so excited to visit Birmingham this week to meet people and show them how Booksy could make booking their next appointment so much easier.

“Spring has officially sprung, and the warmer weather and sunshine has certainly boosted the country’s mood, we hope to continue that momentum when we arrive in Birmingham.

“Make sure to head down to Upper New Street this weekend to say hello – we can’t wait to meet the people who make the city so special.”

Kickstarting the takeover on the evening of Thursday 31st is a special networking event with Booksy Ambassador Alan Beak who will be talking to Booksy merchants about his success and journey so far as Director and Founder of Ruger and Wahl Creative Director, as well as hosting a Q and A session.

Friday 1st through to Sunday 3rd the Booksy team will be at Upper New Street meeting customers face to face, handing out goodies to passers-by, finding out what locals love about their city and talking to them about the app.

On the evening of Friday 1st Booksy is hosting a VIP event for press and content creators to show off some of its services in the heart of the city at a local barber.

Throughout the campaign, a huge outdoor marketing initiative will take place with hundreds of brightly coloured billboard sites springing up across the city.

Booksy has seen downloads soar in 2022, boasting over two million UK users and thousands of new sign-ups each month.

Booksy lets customers access hair, beauty, and wellness treatments in their local area 24/7 without any of the fuss of back-and-forth phone calls. Once registered and logged in, it takes just ten seconds for users to find and book a suitable, local appointment at a time to suit, streamlining the booking process and saving customers time and hassle.

The Booksy app is free to download and use, and customers have the option to search by service type or location, and even find same-day appointments. Users receive appointment reminder notifications and can cancel or amend their booking without having to contact the salon directly.

Booksy is available to users in the UK and Ireland, USA, Poland, Spain, Brazil and Mexico, and is the brainchild of founders Stefan Batory and Konrad Howard, who started the company after their own personal frustration when trying to book appointments over the phone.
