Foodhub, one of the UK’s fastest growing takeaway delivery apps, has appointed Neil Sturrock to its senior team as Global Operations Director.

In his new role, Neil oversees the customer journey from start to finish – that’s the onboarding, management, and sales of independent takeaway businesses in multiple territories, including Europe, Asia, Australia, Mexico and the USA.

As well as managing the customer journey, Neil is also involved in key strategic elements of the business, working closely with CEO Ardian Mula on major overseas acquisitions which are currently helping the disruptor brand increase its offering in America and Australia.

One of the biggest challenges for Neil is ensuring the quality of Foodhub’s customer journey is consistent in each territory, including those where the brand is newly established. This is an essential aspect of the role, as improving the overall customer journey for Foodhub’s restaurant partners means increased client orders, increased client numbers, and better overall retention of partners.

Fortunately, Neil brings years of customer service experience in multiple sectors to the business, including work in travel, telecoms, and food tech to name but a few. He also has a strong track record of business transformation in multiple geos such as India, Eastern Europe, and America – a key territory for Foodhub moving into 2022.

For Foodhub, Neil has ambitious goals, and has dedicated himself to truly increasing Foodhub’s global footprint over the next few years. As well as improving the customer journey as an incentive to attract new restaurant partners, there will be an even bigger focus on overseas acquisitions which will help to continue the brand’s hypergrowth.

Though currently based in the UK, Neil works across all of Foodhub’s international territories, often spending time in the brand’s India hub, as well as working remotely with the rest of the global team.

Neil Sturrock, Global Operations Director said: “This is an incredibly exciting time to join Foodhub, as the brand is in a key stage of its global expansion. From the recent multimillion pound acquisition of the Big Foodie portal to the takeover of Australian platform Eat Appy, we’re in a constant state of hyper growth right across the board.

“My role primarily focuses on the overall customer journey – managing the onboarding process and beyond, all the way through to order volume and customer retention. With so many new clients in a variety of locations, it’s essential that our core ethos of championing independent takeaways and restaurants remains unchanged, and all clients get the same high level of service, regardless of where in the world they’re based.”

Ardian Mula, CEO of Foodhub said: “As Foodhub continue to expand globally, it’s more important than ever that we invest in our infrastructure to keep the overall customer journey at the same high standard. Managing a process on this scale is a huge challenge, but we’re incredibly fortunate to have Neil on board – his demonstrated experience in customer service right across the globe makes him the perfect candidate for the role.”
