Engage Consulting Donate a Further £500 to the Fuel Bank Foundation
Engage Consulting continues to support The Fuel Bank Foundation by donating a further £500 to the Foundation, as part of their commitment to demonstrating their Corporate Social Responsibility. Engage also donated £1000 to the Foundation in March 2023.
The Fuel Bank Foundation is dedicated to providing emergency assistance to individuals in the UK who are unable to afford to top up their prepayment gas and/or electricity meter, which could mean they lose heat, light, and/or power in their homes.
Established in 2015 by npower, the foundation has successfully aided more than 1 million people so far. Eligible households are granted fuel vouchers, enabling them to top-up their prepayment meter and regain access to essential energy services. Further to this, the foundation also provides people with impartial and actionable advice, with the ultimate goal of preventing future disconnections of their energy supply.
Collaborating with approximately 200 partners, including advice agencies, food banks, charities, community interest companies, local councils, and community-based groups, the Fuel Bank Foundation serves as a crucial lifeline for individuals in need.
John Peters, Managing Director of Engage Consulting, says: “We continue to recognise the incredible work of the Fuel Bank Foundation. As the cost of living crisis shows minimal signs of slowing down, it’s vital that people across the UK know where they can turn if they are in need when it comes to their prepayment gas and/or electricity meters. A secure supply of heat, light and power at home is incredibly important for all generations. I’m pleased that our donation will help the Foundation to continue its excellent work.”
Matthew Cole, head of Fuel Bank Foundation, said: “We continue to be overwhelmed by the generous donations from businesses and other organisations that want to take action to help those who, as a result of the cost of living crisis and higher energy bills, find themselves in financial dire straits.
“Like many charities at the moment, our services are under extreme pressure, with an increasing number of people turning to Fuel Bank Foundation because they can’t afford to top up their prepayment meter. But with help from companies like Engage Consulting, we can continue delivering vital support to those who need it most.”
