After 22 years as a medical doctor, Doctor Sally Bell has launched her new website and courses all under a new brand; Doctor Sally Women’s Health.

Doctor Sally qualified in 1999 from Nottingham University with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (BMBS) and a Bachelor of Medical Science (BmedSci). She then trained as a Doctor and completed a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

From 2004, Doctor Sally worked for three years overseas with the aid agency Medair, and provided health care to over 100,000 amazing Sudanese and Ugandan women.

On returning to the UK, she worked as an inner-city GP in St Ann’s, where she embraced its diverse community and considered it a joy working, living and raising her family there. Following this, Doctor Sally worked with Nottingham Emergency Medical Services as an acute care GP. And, in 2016, to grow her expertise in functional medicine and the root causes of illness, she completed The Institute of Functional Medicine’s Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice Programme.

Doctor Sally has specialist expertise in, and a lifelong passion for improving the health of women. The story behind her approach to improving women’s health began during her early medical training. She observed a disconnect between some of the approaches she was taught and the body’s powerful, innate ability to heal. As she progressed as a Doctor, she grew frustrated with treating disease with a one-size-fits-all approach.

Sally says…

“I also became more concerned for women. I noticed how the basic sciences and much of the medical research are drawn from the study of men. Women are often treated as a deviation, with insufficient respect given to our wonderful cellular, physiological and biological differences. On my own health journey, postnatal health problems, and the prospect of lifelong medication, inspired me to formulate a different model for health that enables my female patients, (and me at the time) to improve our health and restore our vitality for life.”

Doctor Sally Women’s Health realises Sally’s dream of offering women a place to inspire and empower their bodies to flourish, as they would all want them to.

On her new website, visitors will find content and resources on the important topics in women’s health, answers to their most-commonly asked questions, Q&A’s as downloadable eBooks, and video-based courses.

The first topic covered is the perimenopause – a momentous stage of life that can present a whole range of physical, mental, and emotional symptoms. And, in the Spring of 2022, Doctor Sally will launch her resources for women’s mental and emotional health, women’s gut health and more.

Alongside her new website, Doctor Sally holds private clinics for women in Birmingham, Solihull, and remotely. She also runs wellness retreats at 2022 Michelin-starred Hampton Manor, advises the British Army and regularly speaks on health matters at events and on BBC radio.
