CAMBRIDGESHIRE HOMEBUILDER CELEBRATES FUNDRAISING EMPLOYEE GOING THE EXTRA MILE
Peterborough-based Barratt and David Wilson Homes has praised one of its employees that has put her best foot forward for charity.
Louise Barguss (43), Purchase Ledger Clerk at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Cambridgeshire, ran the London Marathon to raise money for MS Society.
MS Society funds world-leading research into multiple sclerosis (MS), with its ultimate goal of finding a treatment for everyone. Until then, it works to make sure no-one with MS feels alone.
Louise said: “My step-mum had MS and we sadly lost her last year, so it was a privilege to have the opportunity to take part in such an amazing event for a charity that is so important to me and my family.
“I enjoyed every minute of the marathon. It was an incredible experience and I finished it in 5:12:57 which I was really pleased with for my first time.
“I am very proud to have raised £1,344, and Barratt and David Wilson Homes will very kindly be fund matching £2,000, boosting the total to £3,344.”
