BUYERS RUSH TO SECURE AN AFFORDABLE AND SPACIOUS FAMILY HOME BY RUTLAND WATER

A rare release of spacious and affordable family homes in the historic village of Edith Weston in Rutland, East Midlands, has seen a rush of buyers, with more than half of the homes already snapped up.

With all two-bedroom properties now reserved, the three-bedroom properties start from just £175,000. It’s no surprise that interest has been so high, especially as the former MOD homes are freshly decorated, with new front doors and new flooring throughout. Some of the first phase homes had half a dozen offers made on them within a matter of days, and all 20 houses in the first and second phases now have buyers.

The vast majority of enquiries have been from first time buyers and some have been bought by local people.” Annington is selling 36 homes in Edith Weston, eight two-bedroom and 28 three-bedroom, with the final homes due to be released for sale soon.

The homes have a much sought-after position, a short stroll away from Rutland Water, which is one of the largest artificial lakes in Europe and home to a sailing club, watersports and a nature reserve.
