ANNINGTON SUPPORTS VIRTUAL LEARNING FOR WITTERING SCHOOL CHILDRENANNINGTON SUPPORTS VIRTUAL LEARNING FOR WITTERING SCHOOL CHILDREN
Annington, the company responsible for refurbishing a range of ex-MOD properties in Wittering, is supporting virtual learning with a donation of £500 to Wittering Primary School. The funds were used to purchase a range of Chromebooks to help pupils with their studies.
In these uncertain times, technology has become a crucial tool to support learning. Annington’s donation will help the pupils at Wittering Primary School to explore a range of exciting new digital educational opportunities during lockdown and ensure that the children are able to keep up with their studies, most of which are taking place online.
Rhys Thrower, Headteacher at Wittering Primary School, said: “It is very important that our children have access to a range of online resources, especially given the current Covid-19 situation. Thanks to Annington’s donation we are a step closer to providing these Chromebooks for all of our students that need them.”
Louise Saunders, Sales and Marketing Manager for Annington Homes, commented: “Supporting the education of children at local schools is an important way in which we can give back to local communities. We hope this donation helps Wittering Primary School to provide a range of online resources for their pupils in these difficult times.”
Wittering Primary School provides education for children aged 4-11 in the villages of Wittering, Thornhaugh and Wansford. Approximately 50 per cent of the families are from a services background.
