AEROCLOUD REVOLUTIONISES AIRPORT OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT FOR EASTERN IOWA AIRPORT
AeroCloud Systems (AeroCloud), the 100% cloud native software platform provider dedicated to the support of airports, has been awarded a contract to provide a full suite of airport operations’ management systems, including flight information display systems (FIDS), gate management systems (GMS) and common-use passenger processing systems (CUPPS) for Eastern Iowa Airport (CID).
CID serves more than 1 million passengers a year and is currently completing the final phase of a terminal expansion project, with all systems expected to be fully inducted early in 2023.
George Richardson, CEO and Co-Founder of AeroCloud, said: “CID has evolved through the years using fiscally sound management and forward-thinking leadership, so AeroCloud was a perfect fit and the natural choice.”
“The speed at which we can deploy our software, the accessibility of the user interface on a mobile device, and our progressive attitude have been key to securing this deal. We’re shaking up the industry – airports deserve better, and AeroCloud is providing the infrastructure to achieve this.”
AeroCloud offers airports a cost-effective and revolutionary approach to improving and developing their operational management systems requiring little or no capital outlay.
The platform’s modular intelligent airport management platform can support CID’s growth whilst offering a reactive, scalable solution which will accommodate changes in situations, such as the introduction of new airlines to the airport. The beauty of AeroCloud’s agile, cloud-based platform is the speed at which it can be implemented, meaning that AeroCloud can offer a rapid turnaround on the provision of new systems and onboarding as required.
Located in Cedar Rapids, in the Midwest of the U.S.A., CID provides Eastern Iowa and the border regions of Illinois and Wisconsin with flights to 16 nonstop destinations on five airlines with connections to hundreds of locations. Introducing AeroCloud’s innovative solutions will allow the airport to scale its operations while maintaining an unmatched passenger experience.
