A WEIGHT OFF THE SHOULDERS: FITNESS AND WELLBEING CHARITY RECEIVES DONATION FROM NORTHAMPTONSHIRE HOMEBUILDER
Fitness without Boundaries, a charity which helps make fitness and wellbeing accessible and inclusive for everyone within the Northamptonshire community, has received a £1,500 donation from local housebuilder David Wilson Homes to assist with its works.
The donation came as part of the Barratt Developments Plc Charitable Foundation, which is designed to support national and local charities, large and small, across the UK to leave a legacy in the communities in which the housebuilder operates.
The contribution from the leading housebuilder will help fund a new piece of equipment for Fitness without Boundaries’ Wellness Gym, which will aid all users with their rehabilitation. It will also help facilitate the employment of a new staff member to run additional gym sessions.
Raphael Davighi, Founder of Fitness without Boundaries, said: “We are very grateful and feel very privileged to have been chosen to receive this donation. We were overjoyed to know that we can grow and expand our resources to help more people.
“It’s great that small local charities are receiving financial support like this. It can often be very hard to survive financially when you are not as well-known as many bigger charities and these donations make a huge difference to how we can support our community.
“This donation will allow us to offer more sessions and help more people engage with the services we offer. This will have a positive effect on the quality of many people’s lives.”
Raphael founded Fitness without Boundaries after he noticed a need for more accessibility when it came to fitness and wellbeing. The result was a charity that offers exercise support to anyone who needs it, whether that is due to long-term health conditions, factors that affect mental wellbeing, or issues regarding poor mobility.
Ben Kalus, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes South Midlands, said: “As a leading housebuilder we strive to support the communities in and around the areas in which we build, and we are delighted to be able to offer Fitness without Boundaries a donation to support the fantastic work it does.”
