UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 Gracenote forecast ahead of this evening’s match

As the final set of matches in Group A kick off later today in UEFA Women’s EURO 2022, please find below updated forecast for your reference.

FORECAST

– England, France and Germany are already through to the knockout phase as group winners.

– The most likely 5 teams to join them (Sweden, Netherlands, Spain, Norway and Italy) are the same as we forecast pre-tournament.

– Italy’s chance of reaching the knockout portion of the tournament has declined from 52% pre-tournament to 41% now.

– Italy need to win against Belgium on Monday to have a chance of progressing but must also rely on Iceland not beating group winners France. Iceland have 30% chance of reaching the knockout phase from Group D and Belgium have 29% chance.

– England have strengthened their favouritism to win the tournament by qualifying for the knockout stage as group winners and avoiding Germany in the quarter-finals. England’s chance of winning Euro 2022 has increased from 21% to 24%.

– Sweden, Germany and France all have around 18% chance of winning the competition so there is 78% chance that the winners will come from England, Sweden, Germany or France.

– England v Germany and England v France are the most likely Euro 2022 finals, each with over 15% chance of happening. Pre-tournament, these two potential finals were the 2nd and 3rd most likely, after Sweden v Netherlands.
