A hotel in Perth has announced the official launch of its new two-bedroom pods, marking the latest milestone in the estate’s ongoing multi-million-pound investment programme.

Murrayshall Country Estate, located in Scone, Perthshire, has introduced luxury two-bedroom, self-catering pods to its accommodation offering. The new pods are designed to meet the surging demand for high-end, flexible accommodation in Scotland. Nestled within the 365-acre estate, the units offer a home-from-home experience, blending the rugged scenery of the Perthshire countryside with the premium amenities of a luxury hotel.

The estate’s diverse accommodation now includes over 60 rooms, suites and pods, with single bedroom pods designed for couples and solo travellers, offering a range of stays from traditional hotel experience to self-catered retreats. Beyond its rooms, the estate features an inviting lounge and bar, an award-winning fine dining restaurant showcasing seasonal Scottish produce and two parkland golf courses set across the estate’s grounds. Guests can also enjoy a range of outdoor activities and spa treatments, positioning Murrayshall as a year-round destination.

Each new pod features two bedrooms, modern interiors and a private outdoor area, with a majority of them also equipped with a hot tub. These units are designed to accommodate families and groups and a selection of the pods are dog-friendly, allowing for guests travelling with pets.

Gary Silcock, General Manager at Murrayshall, commented: “We are thrilled to officially open our new two-bedroom pods. This expansion allows us to welcome more guests to the estate while providing a different style of stay, one that offers privacy and independence without compromising on the four-star service Murrayshall is known for.”

The launch was celebrated with an event at the estate on Friday, 27th, where local partners and press were invited to tour the new facilities and enjoy a traditional hog roast.
The introduction of the two-bedroom pods follows a period of growth at Murrayshall, which recently included refurbishments to its golf courses and boutique rooms. Future developments include a kitchen replacement and the addition of spa and leisure facilities.
