RES and Re-Form Launch Energy Day in Stoke-on-Trent to Combat Fuel Poverty
In response to alarming new government statistics revealing Stoke-on-Trent as the fuel poverty capital of England, RES and Re-Form Heritage are launching Energy Day at Middleport Pottery, a day of free activities and workshops, aimed at helping to combat fuel poverty in the region.
Recent figures show that 24.7% of households in Stoke-on-Trent are living in fuel poverty, making it the area with the highest percentage of affected households in England, overtaking Birmingham.
“The recent statistics are a stark reminder of the harsh realities faced by many families in our region,” said Sarah Parry of RES. “Through these community appearances, we are dedicated to reaching as many individuals as possible to help them navigate this energy crisis and find practical ways to save on their bills.”
Energy Day at Middleport Pottery is a free event on Friday 2nd August, from 10am to 4pm and includes an energy saving workshop and Q&A plus free activities for children. Attendees can also enter to win one of four annual membership passes to Middleport Pottery.
