OXFORDSHIRE FOOTBALL CLUB SUITED AND BOOTED AFTER HOMEBUILDER’S SPONSORSHIP

Leading developer Barratt and David Wilson Homes Southern has sponsored Stanford in the Vale Football Club to provide its team with new kits and training jackets.
The £2,000 sponsorship has enabled the club to purchase a brand new kit for the season, as well as training tops for the entire squad.

Based on Cottage Road, the club is located close to the housebuilder’s River Meadow development.

Stanford in the Vale’s First Team plays its football in the North Berks Football League and, sitting pretty in the division, has only lost one game so far this season.

Daniel Barry, Manager of Stanford in the Vale Football Club’s First Team, said: “We are extremely grateful for the sponsorship. The kit looks great and receiving this sponsorship has enabled us to use funds in other areas to continue to support the local community and provide football in the village.”

Whilst encouraging local engagement and supporting physical health, there are many social benefits which community football teams offer, and Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ sponsorship of the club has alleviated some of the costs it faced.

With the World Cup due to start in Qatar on 20th November, it’s a fantastic time to be investing in grassroots sports to support clubs at a lower level.
