New season of The Sales Talent Podcast shows businesses how to grow, despite consumers tightening their belts

Podcast listening in the UK is booming. The audience of 19.1 million listeners in 2021 is projected to grow to upwards of 28 million by 2026. And it is in this growing marketplace that UK sales transformation specialist Sales Talent has announced the second season of The Sales Talent Podcast.

The first season generated over 5,000 downloads, with Sales Talent MD Paul Owen and his guests focusing on learning how to sell; it served as an impactful ‘beginner’s guide to sales.’

On 7 April 2022, the much-anticipated second season will kick off with a slightly different focus: the improvement of sales management and the business growth that can result. In the first episode of the series, CEO of Company Shortcuts and bestselling author Nicola Cook joins Paul to discuss how to build successful sales teams, how to stay motivated and how to lead.

“I’m delighted to be hosting a second season of The Sales Talent Podcast. We’ve got some exciting guests lined up to share their insights and expertise. As ever, we’ll be focusing on practical topics that are particularly relevant to the current business climate, such as how organisations can quickly grow their sales and what successful sales leaders do differently.”

Paul Owen, MD, Sales Talent

Through the Sales Talent Transformation Programme, Paul has worked with businesses across the UK, supporting them to transform their teams to become more impactful and successful. Now, he and his guests will be sharing their expertise with podcast listeners up and down the country.

In addition to Nicola Cook, guests for the first few episodes of season two will include elite sports business mentor Chris Brindley MBE and tech entrepreneur, author and philanthropist Michael Tobin OBE.

Episodes will be released fortnightly and listeners can expect to gain practical insights into how they can grow their businesses faster, increase profits and achieve greater value by improving their sales management. The series will also look at common blockers that prevent companies from growing their sales, as well as outlining best first steps for growth.

The first series of the podcast, which is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and the Sales Talent website, was known for its engaging, down-to-earth tone. The second season continues in the same vein, making this the go-to resource for businesses looking to grow even as consumers tighten their purse strings as a result of the rising cost of living.
