Local Altrincham students to light up stage in Lyceum Theatre spectactular

Talented students from Stagecoach Performing Arts Altrincham are among seven other schools that will take to the historic Lyceum Theatre in Crewe, on July 3rd 2022.

This follows a variety of amazing performances by Stagecoach schools throughout the year, as many students missed out on performing live in 2020. The showcase provides the students with a chance to come together for what is set to be another fantastic showcase, building on their creativity, courage and skills that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.

Stagecoach Altrincham is alongside various Stagecoach Performing Arts schools that have been rehearsing for what will make another spectacular event. These include students from Cheshire East and other surrounding areas of Congleton, Macclesfield, Northwich, Warrington, Newcastle Under Lyme, Wilmslow, and Stafford & Stone.

The Crewe Lyceum is the only Edwardian Theatre in Cheshire East and was first built in 1887. With such rich history in Cheshire, the theatre is now home to local plays, family events, comedies and exhibitions.

Stagecoach Altrincham Principal Marion Hankin said:

“Our mix of Stage 2s and 3s are working together on our performance piece for the Lyceum Theatre. It’s lovely seeing the morning and the afternoon school come together for rehearsals. They sound amazing together, it’s going to be a very moving piece of musical theatre. They are performing a selection of songs from the American Musical – The Civil War.”

Stagecoach Performing Arts reported a seven per cent rise in student enrolments since 2020, and prides itself on building Creative Courage For Life® among students. The Global film entitled ‘Stagecoach Performing Arts Presents’ celebrating Stagecoach’s students in real time was released in June 2022.
