Recent analysis of Google search data reveals that online searches for ‘grief counselling’ exploded 300% in the UK on the 15th December, one day after ‘After Life’ Season 3 aired on Netflix.

A new finding by BingoSites reveals that online searches for “grief counselling” skyrocketed to over the average volume in one day, an unprecedented spike in interest for brown wool coats, according to Google trends analysis.

A spokesperson for Bingosites.co.uk said commented on the findings:

“After Life, the series is both heart-warming and hilarious. It touches on some extremely vulnerable subjects and is a great representation of the challenges of grief. It is wonderful to see that the representation of opening up about your difficulties and this being a healthy thing to do – is having a positive impact on the behaviours of the UK public. The search term ‘grief counselling’ exploding demonstrates that people are wanting to make a change and seek help for themselves after the show aired. A huge well done to the team of After Life for showing the different sides of grief on a widespread platform – and helping those who need to reassurance that it is okay to see help”.
